The oriental world conceived the radical Philosophy of Hospitality with the broadest possible openness of heart and mind by stating "Udar Charitanamtu, Vashudhaiwa Kutumbkam". Vedas inculcated the doctrine of human ethics – "Atithi Devo Bhava". In both above teaching it was a process of evolution in the broadness of life. In the course of time, things changed a lot, through the basic principles of Atithi Seva i.e. Guest Management remained the same but the practical aspect has rolled down to a new dimension due to growing aspirations of global guest influx. Since our ancient idea of guest management had been more emotional and Metaphysical, we got our self a bit uncomfortable in the arena of Guest Management in the world of Physics, but with the help of my first hand knowledge and understanding I tried to draw a synthesis of guest management in this book from the contrast and realities of thesis and antithesis. Journey of this book is actually a walk on the line of double-edged sword with the expansion of mind and reduction of Geography; a guest may come from fag end of the poles. One who would serve need to know desires, the expectations and mental states of the guest with the right earnest in a fresh of the moment, with any comprehensive experience tried to reduce this colossal science of art Guest Management in this book which is firstly worth reading, secondly worth keeping and thirdly worth for reference for the professionals of Hospitalities Industry, students, and faculties of Catering Colleges of India and Abroad.
