Dr. Bhupesh Kumar, Principal, Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (SIHM) Ranchi is an alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Bhubaneswar. He has completed Ph.D., in Tourism and Hospitality Discipline on Crisis Management in Hotels from IGNOU. He has done Master's Degree in Tourism Management, from MK University. He has worked with ISM, Ranchi, Jharkhand, VIHTM, Rajkot, Gujrat and BCIHMCT, New Delhi.

He has a vast experience in placement and Training of Hotel Management Studies and Hospitality Research. He is an ex-chief editor of Indian Journal of Applied Hospitality and Tourism Research a reputed Journal of Hospitality Industry in India; also an expert in NAAC Accreditation and ISO 9001:2008. He has published research works in International Journal on different topics like serving quality in Hotels. He has been awarded the best Principal by AAHARWAYA in the year 2023, best educator in Hospitality education by the ISHE in 2016, the president's Award from IHC for 2015.

Mr. Dhirendra Tiu, an IHM Bhubaneswar alumnus is a seasoned hospitality expert with about 2 decade of Combined experience in Operation and academia and is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Hotel Management Ranchi. He began his career as an Executive with a 4 star Hotel In Bhopal.After working as a manager (F&B) in the industry he joined as Asst Lecturer in an Institute affiliated to NCHMCT, Noida. After completing his MTTM from IGNOU he also qualified NET( Tourism Administraion & Management). His area of specialization is F&B Service & Tourism.
